The Skinny

The good thing about the Old Homestead Steakhouse Las Vegas is that they "specialize in the 4 main food groups: beef, beef, beef and beef." That covers all the bases of a well appointed meal plan, right? Well, other than the booze of course, but don't worry - they've got that too!

The Environment:

Burping, eating with your fingers, wearing your bathing suit... All of these things fall under the "inappropriate" category at the Old Homestead Steakhouse Vegas. Basically, if you wouldn't feel comfortable doing something in front of your new girlfriend's Southern, conservative mother, you shouldn't do it here. Although, at least these people may be a little more forgiving. We hope.

Why We Dine:

Old Homestead Steakhouse Las Vegas keeps it classy. Oh wait, you wan't to know WHY we dine here? Well, hang on, we're sure we can come up with something...

  • Fine Dining: When we want a fancy meal in Sin City, but we're not willing to pay about double the prices at some of the restaurants at the Bellagio, we head over to Caesars Palace for an equally-charming meal and cut of steak at the Old Homestead Steakhouse Vegas. The environment is a little less pretentious. Or at least they can't smell the cheap on us when we walk through the door.
  • Main Lobster: These lobsters only come in two variations - 2lbs or 4lbs - so you should probably bring a hearty appetite with you when you come to Old Homestead Steakhouse Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Or make sure that they have a pretty large to-go box.
  • Filet Mignon: Of course most people who eat at Old Homestead Steakhouse Caesars Palace Vegas go there for the steak, and while it's the priciest item on the menu, it is their specialty. You don't go to Chick-Fil-A for a burger, right?

Inside Knowledge:

When your sweet tooth starts to tingle, order a slice of the World Famous Old Homestead Steakhouse Las Vegas Cheesecake. It's $11 a slice, but it's world famous! That means it must be good, right?! Well, it really is this time.

We Recommend:

  • Bringing Someone Special: If you're coming to Old Homestead Steakhouse Las Vegas, you can expect to spend around $65 a person, and even more if you get one of the good steaks. Hopefully whoever you're coming with is someone you're trying to make a good impression on, because this is a hefty investment!
  • Duck Fat Fries: These are by far one of the best side items at Old Homestead Steakhouse Vegas, and you can get them on the side of any menu item, but they pair best with the red meats.

Is it Worth It?

The food is really good, but the prices are oh-so-high.
