It looks like a golf course, if you've ever been to one before, you might know what that looks like. If you've ever golfed in the Carolina's though, you'll get a better idea of what this course looks like. Unlike any other Vegas course, the entire Desert Pines Golf Course Las Vegas is surrounded by pine trees.
Desert Pines Golf Club in Vegas was designed by Dye Designs International to replicate the Carolina golf courses. Pine trees aren't a prominent Nevada fixture, so they did pretty well designing it.
Mike Davis, known as one of the top professionals in the country, is a PGA instructor and the Desert Pines Las Vegas golf pro. Golf Magazine has named him as one of the Top 100 Most Prestigious Golfers after he played on the PGA Tour in the 70's and he's been teachin' up a strorm since then.
Why go here?
Golf Digest called Desert Pines Golf Club Las Vegas one of the best upscale courses in the country and was voted one of the "Top Public Golf Courses in the Country" GolfWorld Magazine Reader's Choice 2009.
Is it Worth It?Desert Pines Golf Course Las Vegas is a good golf course for the average golfer. Some people prefer a few over this one, but you won't be disappointed in spending your dough on these holes.
Desert Pines Golf Club Las Vegas caters to the average person who comes to Vegas and plays golf. Probably already a bit better looking and better off financially than the 21 year old party that is staying at the Hard Rock.
The staff at Desert Pines Golf Club Las Vegas is usually pretty friendly and accommodating as long as you're not a total noob or jerk to them. Then they let their true snooty Vegas attitudes shine bright.
Do they offer lessons?
Desert Pines Golf Course Las Vegas offers lessons, for a pretty penny.
Do they have a clubhouse?
Desert Pines Golf Club Las Vegas has a restaurant, locker room, meeting facilities and of course a golf shop. You can rent the latest Callway golf clubs if you left your set at home and they also rent out Footjoy shoes. Duffers Bar & Grill serves breakfast and lunch and there's a snack bar that's open for everything else if you want a hot dog or something of the like.
